CONSULTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN COCVAC AND MFC ANNOUNCED
CLINTON, NY— February 01, 2025 — Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Mercy Flight Central have announced a consulting agreement to support the volunteer ambulance corps (COCVAC) and its mission of serving the community.
This collaboration, officials say, is focused on strengthening emergency response capabilities and ensuring residents in the Mohawk Valley and Oneida County regions have continued access to essential services.
COCVAC has been dedicated to providing quality prehospital emergency care to the community since its founding in 1970. Likewise, Mercy Flight Central has been a trusted provider of critical care air medical services across Upstate New York since 1992, ensuring timely, lifesaving care for those in need.
Both organizations share a strong commitment to community care and, through this partnership, aim to improve patient outcomes and expand access to critical services. Leaders from both organizations express enthusiasm about the partnership.
“We are excited to partner with Mercy Flight Central as we continue to strengthen our ability to serve our community. This agreement represents a significant step forward in improving our services, ensuring that we remain equipped to provide the highest level of emergency care when our community needs it the most,” said COCVAC Assistant Chief Erin Mucitelli.
“Mercy Flight Central is proud to support Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps in strengthening their operations and ensuring long-term sustainability. This agreement reflects our shared commitment to providing high-quality emergency medical services to the community. By working together, we aim to enhance efficiency, optimize resources, and build a strong foundation for the future of COCVAC and the patients they serve,” said John Popella, director of air medical operations at Mercy Flight.
Both organizations are confident that this collaboration will strengthen emergency services and ensure long-term sustainability for the communities they serve.
